Dr.T.S.R.Anjana is an Anatomist with over 12 years of experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. As the Medical Education Unit Coordinator, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the medical education landscape at our institution. She also has been instrumental in introducing innovative teaching methods, including Activity Based Learning (ABL) creating an immersive and fun Anatomy learning experience for undergraduate students. She has guided undergraduate student for ICMR-STS project, co-organized various CMEs, Workshops and been the Co-coordinator of the Cadaveric Skills lab at the Department of Anatomy.

Our institution has witnessed the following advancements in medical education:

  • Conducted five Basic Course in Medical Education(BCME), training nearly 95% of faculty
  • Has been the Organising Secretary of a National Level workshop – MEDIPEN on manuscript writing
  • Co-organized MedED CONnect’24 – first National level Hybrid Medical Education Conference to be conducted by a Government Institution in Tamilnadu along with a preconference workshop on Qualitative Research and AI in Review of Literature.
  • Vertical mentoring list preparation with faculties of all departments and undergraduate students in a 1:3 ratio.

She is a prolific researcher with 15 Original articles in various journals with a Citation Index – 30, H-Index- 3 and i-10 index – 1.Received two Research Grants from the Tamilnadu State Research Committee in the year 2016 and Best Oral Presentation Award (Dr.Abdul Rahim Award) at an International Anatomy Conference conducted by Sree Balaji Medical College, Chromepet. Completed Advance Course in Medical Education (ACME) and the 3T plus and Integrated Health Science Training Program.

As a Medical Educator and an Anatomist, She encourages students to participate, engage and explore the intricacies of Human Anatomy and empowers the next generation of Health care professionals to become critical thinkers and compassionate caregivers by promoting team spirit, self directed and colloborative learning.
